                             The Mission Trail Net QSL card.

The call WA6GDO was acquired in 1969.  Over the many years, many Trustees have assured the preservation of the station call.  The current Trustee is , WA6TWT - Gary Barr of Lancaster, CA. 

Utilizing the 37th parallel as the dividing line, the Net is set up in two divisions, the North and the South.  Roll call is held on a rotating basis: the North first on even days and the South first on odd days.  Division controls are selected by Net Control to assist them in conducting the net.  A roll call list appears in our monthly publication called the

MTN BLAZER

 

The Net not only has members in California, but also in Arizona, Nevada, Idaho and Oregon.  Listening to the Net will quickly acquaint you with our procedure focusing on friendship to new and old alike.  Members in good standing are listed on the following month's roll call list.

Annual Events

  • The Roundup.  A weekend convention held in differing parts of the region so as to afford all members a reasonable opportunity to enjoy the personal contact.  This event is the  highlight of our year.  You will find an atmosphere of family, friends and fun at the Roundup.
  • The Club Station.  Although there is no physical club station, the call is activated for special net events, such as the annual Roundup, the Net birthday in January, Independence Day, Thanksgiving and several other national holidays.
  • Dues.  The dues are a one time $10.00 fee for new applicants. An additional fee of $10.00/year is for members wishing a US Postal Service (USPS) mailing of our monthly Blazer.  There is no fee to receive the Blazer via email.
